The current state of the economy is down. Most numbers are in the negatives. Nasdaq is around -9, S&P 500 around -14. Only one is not in the negatives, 10 yr T Note which is staying right around 0

If you are review the Markets for the week, be sure to include a statement of saying "the markets for the week of October 12-16"
Well Danny, I believe that you could have elaborated, specifically on what index you were speaking of. You could have also talked about what value, in points, each index opened and closed with.
